Pleasant Gap Fire Company was called in for mutual aid assistance to Companies 1 and 2 (Bellefonte) for a working structure fire at Jim’s Italian Cuisine. PGFD firefighters assisted with filling air cylinders and provided manpower for performing overhaul. Firefighters worked on scene for about two hours.

Reported Structure Fire in First Due
Monday 10-Jan-2011 17:00 Centre County Communications alerted fire box 820 for a reported structure fire, a rope smoking from the ceiling. Chief 800 (Royer) arrived on scene and requested that the TIC from truck 217 be brought to the scene for evaluation. A slow burning fire was discovered in the wall, and was extinguished.

Engine 810, Truck 217, Rescue 818, Tanker 819, and Ambulance 850 for the stand-by.

8/10/2010: Mutual Aid: Dwelling fire(Howard)
Around 3:00 in the afternoon, Pleasant Gap Fire was alerted to assist Howard (co 14) for a dwelling fire. 818 was requested for additional manpower due to the high temperatures.

First due box: Reported Dwelling fire
On Saturday, 13-March-2010 at 2045, Pleasant Gap Fire and EMS, along with Company 2 (Undines) were alerted for a dwelling fire on Limestone Drive. Truck 216, Engine 810, and Chief 800 responded. Chief 800 arrived on scene and determined that the cause of the smoke in the structure was due to a melted spoon in the dishwasher. Units were placed available at 2100 hrs.

Mutual Aid for Building Fire in Bellefonte
On December 22 at 1:28am, Company 8 was alerted to assist Bellefonte Fire Department with a building fire at the Cadillac Building, 211 S. Allegheny Street in downtown Bellefonte. Rescue 818 was due to respond on the first alarm with a RIT assignment. Centre County Emergency Dispatch advised that there were people on the 3rd floor at their windows. All residents were evacuated safely including several out the window and down ladders. Engine 810 was due on the second alarm assignment and Ambulance 8 assisted with rehab/fire standby. A special thanks to the Salvation Army and the hot coffee and snacks that they provided to the firefighters and victims.
