Sincere condolences to our brothers in Port Matilda

The officers and members of the Pleasant Gap Fire Company wish to give our sincerest condolences and sympathy to our brothers and sisters in Port Matilda. Chad Reedy lost his battle with cancer yesterday, September 15. Chad served as the assistance safety officer for Port Matilda. He will be missed by all who was touched by his life.

Sunday Sept. 19th starting at 2pm, there will be a special remembrance ceremony for Chad Reedy. The Ceremony will be held at the Port Matilda Fire Hall. All are welcome to attend.

09/14/2010 Mutual Aid: Box 114 Specialized Rescue

Shortly after 0500 hours, Centre County Communications alerted company 8 for an Ambulance and Rescue 818 due to the scene at 500 Pleasant Valley blvd for a specialized rescue, a man over an embankment with a fractured leg. Rescue 818 staged at the Pacific Pride, and was called to assist in carrying the patient to the awaiting BLS unit for transport to Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Units operated on scene for approximately 1 hour.

Sincere Condolences for our Brothers in Howard

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our brothers in Howard at the loss of their fire chief Robert Mann Jr. Bob was accidentally killed while logging on his property. Bob is survived by his wife and two children. The Howard fire company is setting up an educational memorial fund to help support his children. Donations can be made to: Howard Volunteer Fire Company, Attn: Robert Mann Memorial, P.O. Box 276, Howard, PA 16841.
