Fireworks Show – Additional Carnival Information

Saturday, July 26, Pleasant Gap will be rocked by the thunder of the

Centennial Fireworks show.  The aerial show will be displayed from the field next

to the Carnival Grounds.  The best location to see the show will be on the Carnival

Grounds.  So come early to get a parking spot.  Enjoy the sights and sounds

of our Annual Carnival.  Chicken B-B-Q will be available at 4:00 pm. The Carnival

rides will fire up at 6:00 pm as well as the remainder of the food stands.

Join in the bidding for some of the finest baked goods around at our

Old Fashion Baked Goods Auction starting at 6:30 pm.

Hybrid Ice is on stage at 7:30 pm. The band will pause for the fireworks show

at 10:00 pm.  The raffle drawing for the money prizes will be at 11:00 pm.

Stop by our Centennial Booth for Centennial commemoratives available for purchase.

Items available include mugs, glassware, patches, t-shirts, Centennial Book and Pottery.

A Successful Community Day Event

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Community Day a success.

Thank you to the B-B-Q Chicken cooks, the folks who baked for the Bake Sale, and to everyone who participated in the event.

The Chicken B-B-Q and Bake Sale was enjoyed by everyone who participated.  The children’s activities included the bounce houses, the Fireman’s Game, Balloon Animals, Smokey the Bear, Sparky, Ike the Spike, and the coloring contest were a big hit. 

And, The weather held out to almost the very end.

Centre County Commissioners Proclamation

At their April 1 meeting, the Centre County Commissioners recognized the Pleasant Gap Fire Company for  A Century of Dedicated Service, 1914 – 2014, with a Proclamation encouraging all citizens to participate in appropriate programs, ceremonies and activities. Children who live in our coverage area, which includes Spring Township, parts of Benner, Marion & Walker Townships; and children of our members are invited to attend.

There will be egg hunts for five different age groups:  1 to 3 years of age,  4 to 6 years of age,

7 to 9 years of age, 10 to 12 years of age, and 13 to 16 years of age.

Special Guest appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Please enter the Carnival Grounds from Robinson lane and follow directions for parking.
